Project Management, Research & Drafting (Level D)
AIRX provides a civil engineer for project management, record research, pre-marking and field meetings. Drafting services in AutoCAD are also provided.
Potholing (Level A)
Potholing includes excavation, visual observation, setting witness point, backfill, patching and documentation of depths and location of the utility.
Public Utility Locating (Level B)
Geophysical Locating
AIRX will pre-mark all of the pothole location and notify Underground Service Alert (USA). AIRX can provide locating crews that carry many different pieces of locating equipment. The equipment is state of the art but, limitations exist with each piece of equipment depending on such factors as soil conditions, conductivity, depth and size of the existing utility and congestion within the area of other utilities. The locating crews bring a higher degree of reliability in horizontally locating the utility that USA simply doesn't provide.
Private Utility Locating (Level B)
Storm Drains/Sewer/Water
USA does not mark-out storm drains/sewer and water laterals. AIRX provides duct rod locating with a sonde transmitter, RD500 Audio water locator and receiver, and CCTV locating on storm drains and sewer laterals. Vactor Cleaning is also available.
Traffic Control
Traffic control services for each project are provided by AIRX. Traffic Control equipment use with set up and teardown, arrow boards, Flagmen and traffic control plans are available.
Surveying (Level C)
AIRX can provide field surveying to locate pothole witness points, utility surface features and tie the locations into the project control points. AIRX provides conventional surveying and GPS surveying. Office calculations and topographic mapping is also available. AIRX assumes project control will be provided if previously established.
Concrete Coring
Concrete Coring is available if required.
Storm Drain and BMP Inspection, Cleaning and Certification
AIRX inspects curb inlets and BMP's for compliance with NPDES permit requirements. Digital documentation and RCE certification for cleaning and compliance is available.
